At just 16, he stepped onstage with the Country Roland Band, and shortly before his grandfather’s passing in 2012, the musical torch was officially passed to him. Now performing under the powerful moniker Kikker Daddy Legacy (a name synonymous with the family’s iconic sound), Reny and his crew continue to pack venues with high-energy performances that honor the past while pushing Texas music forward.
With a soulful voice, heartfelt songwriting, and a genre-bending mix of traditional Tejano Country, modern Country Western, and progressive Texas Red Dirt, Reny is proving he’s more than ready for the spotlight. He’s shared stages with some of the biggest names in country and Tejano, opened the prestigious CMA of Texas Awards at Dosey Doe Dance Hall in 2023, and in 2024 received the CMA of Texas Hispanic Lifetime Heritage Achievement Award on behalf of his legendary family. That same year he made his national television debut on the Penny Gilley Show (RFD-TV) and dropped a heartfelt tribute album plus multiple singles under Kikker Daddy Legacy.
His momentum is unstoppable – a brand-new project dropped in 2025 (including the emotional hit “FRÁGIL” feat. Alyssa Torres and “PRECIOUS HEART” feat.
