This past Saturday at Bert Ogden Arena was one of those nights that sticks with you.
Los Palominos hit the stage for their 35th Anniversary kickoff and the energy in the room was exactly what you hope for — loud, proud, and full of people who genuinely care about this music. The band was on fire, the production hit different, and most of all, you showed up. Families, longtime fans, new faces… the whole Valley came out. That’s what turns a good show into something special.
We also want to give a real thank you to the people who helped make the night even bigger:
- Duelo and band member Oscar Ivan Trevino — for being part of the legacy and showing up strong.
- The City of Edinburg, who officially declared June 20 as Los Palominos Day. That kind of recognition matters.
- La Mafia and lead vocalist Oscar de la Rosa — for the support and for understanding what these moments mean to the culture.
- Mayor Omar Ochoa of Edinburg and Commissioner Daniel “Dan” Diaz — for standing behind the music and the community.
- And of course, every single person in the crowd who bought a ticket, showed up, sang along, and made the night unforgettable.
Here are a few shots from the night. The smiles, the lights, the moments you can’t stage. These are just some of the photos that came in — the real thing felt even bigger.

We’re still sorting through all the footage and photos for the Bird Promotions documentary. Nights like this are exactly why we’re filming everything — so people can look back and feel what the RGV music scene was really like when it was alive and kicking.

If you were there, thank you. If you couldn’t make it, we felt you anyway. These shows only hit different because of the community that comes out and rides with us.
